(York, PA) Six members from Wagman’s Corporate Office in York donated their faces for a good cause – a pi day fundraiser that benefits several nonprofit organizations, some of which will be participating in Give Local York 2024.
Volunteers selected their benefitting nonprofit and employees were able to purchase pies to toss at their coworkers for $20 each or get six for $100. Nonprofits included:
- Paul Stefan Foundation (represented by Greg Andricos, President and COO, Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc.)
- York Polar Bears (represented by Tom Haag, Corporate Safety Director, Wagman, Inc.)
- Central PA Food Bank (represented by Mark Morrow, VP of Construction, Wagman Construction, Inc.)
- York County Food Bank (represented by Rob Moyer, Director of IT, Wagman, Inc.)
- YWCA (represented by Megan Wetzler, Director of Human Resources, Wagman, Inc.)
- Typical Life Corp (represented by Brian Gabsewics, Piling Manager, Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc.)

Over 100 pies were sold in advance and the employees who purchased them got to toss them in support of their designated nonprofit. The company raised over $2,000, surpassing the total of last year’s event.
“Last year several of us took pies to the face and it was considered a ‘smashing’ success. We had a new group volunteer this year and it was neat to learn how they are connected to the nonprofits they raised money for,” commented Lisa Wagman Glezer, President of Wagman, Inc. She adds, “It is very messy, but we all had a lot of fun!”
