This project was a new construction of fresh food farmer’s market to benefit Able Services, one of the non-profit services provided by Leg Up Farm.
The full-service grocery store sells all-natural foods, including staging areas for local produce, artisan cheese, local beef, freshly baked breads, brick-oven pizza, self-service ground peanut butter, prepared food and fresh seafood. In addition to the staging areas for produce, a café, seating area and restrooms were built as a part of the market.
The building’s structure is composed of CMU and structural steel. The exterior finishes are manufactured stone veneer, painted CMU and hardie siding. The roofing system includes TPO and architectural shingles. Acknowledging the importance of local farmers, a 42’ silo serves as the main entrance.
